Langmuir-Hinshelwood Reaction in a PFR

Try to answer these questions before determining the answer with the simulation. We suggest that you write down the reasons for your answers.

For the reaction CO + ½O2 → CO2:

  1. If the reaction takes place in a PFR and the feed is 50% CO and 50% O2, what is the surface covered with at long distance down the reactor?
